Professor Kim Cassidy, Academic Director of NRRKEC and Bill Grimsey who is the Centre's Retail Executive Director, spoke to almost 1200 Nottingham Business School (NBS) first-year undergraduates as part of the unique NBS Discover Week.

Professor Kim Cassidy, Academic Director of NRRKEC and Bill Grimsey who is the Centre’s Retail Executive Director, spoke to almost 1200 Nottingham Business School (NBS) first-year undergraduates as part of the unique NBS Discover Week. Their talk, covered UK Retail generally but focused on the extremely topical issue of how to develop City Centres, included a case study from Roeselare, a city in Belgium, was designed to help put into context the project the students will be undertaking this week. For two days, and working together in groups, they will examining specific parts of  Nottingham City Centre and then be asked to provide innovate, creative, integrated and evidenced based recommendations about its future development and use. NRRKEC were delighted to work with the Business School’s Undergraduate team to help develop and support this unique  initiative which will not only help develop these new students’ study, team working and presentation skills, but also help them get to know more both about Nottingham, where they will be studying for the next three or four years.
